HX40 Environmental Control Unit

The HX40 is a comprehensive environmental control which can be configured in numerous ways. The initial settings are made via PC at the Climatec technical office, and can be altered by Climatec engineers to accommodate changing requirements.

Flexible parameters - 32 inputs and 36 outputs.

Setting of all variables - temperature, relative humidity, etc., is carried out directly on the HX40.
Following initial configuration, the HX40 displays only the available control settings.

The HX40 can control:

• Ventilation - Up to 12 independent and fully adjustable ventilation stages.
• Air Inlets - Up to 4 independent side or ridge air inlets. Inlet control can be a combination of:
  • Pressure
  • Associative (stage control)
  • Natural
• Heating - Controlling space heaters/radiant and auxiliary heating in upto 4 zones.
• Cooling - Full control of cooling: on/off, relative humidity and/or temperature.
• Alarms - Alarm functions for the min. & max. temperature, thermal protection and generic alarms.

In addition, the HX40 Environmental Controller has inbuilt provisions for:

• Calendar - Heating, cooling and ventilation requirements can be set to run automatically according to the age of the animals.
• Archive - Stores information on heating, cooling and ventilation working times, min., max. & average internal and external temperatures and relative humidity %.
• Graphical Display - User friendly graphic display makes changing settings extremely easy and the main parameters can be displayed as graphics.
• Check Controls - All working parameters (inputs, outputs, alarms, etc.) are easily displayed and checked through the 'check control' function.
• Macro Setting - Rapid recall of the most used program functions can be set using the number keys on the numerical keypad.
• Password - Up to 3 password levels can be set by the system administrator to prevent misuse of the controller.
• Wiring and Installation - The HX40 controller comes in an IP54 insulated enclosure, and the system extensions are supplied as DIN modules for easy installation in a control panel.
• Software Upgrade - HX40 software can be easily upgraded from a PC.
• PC Connection - HX40 can be connected to a PC, individually using the "HX40 Dialogue" software, or as part of a group of HX40's using the HBOX & the "HX40 HNET" software.
